If you think there is something beyond what we can truly see – spirits, ghosts, purgatory – then surely you would acknowledge God. Whether He is who the Jews and Christians say He Is, or he is the "universe", the guiding force, the inner spirit . . . in both cases, God is The Absolute Almighty Spirit of the Unseen. Creator of the Entire Universe - whether by His Own Word in Genesis 1; or, by the mysteries of big bangs and evolution.
So, the question only remains: What does God want from us?
By logic, He exists, even if only as “order", as a spirit uninterested in our minutia.
Judeo-Christian societies believe that a very interested God created the universe and heavens, earth, day, night, land, life, vegetation, animals, man.
Judeo-Christian societies enjoy vast advantages in individual liberties and scientific progress versus all others; Judeo-Christian societies ran so far ahead that their children become entitled, and brainwashed by foxes in its henhouses. The children of this Age, not giving any thanks for the tremendous gifts bestowed on them by God and their forefathers, deliberatley throw away their society’s hard-earned advantages, most importantly its belief that God is interested, to instead pander to godless paganism.
The foxes in henhouses will of course dispute the claim that Judeo-Christian societies are light years ahead and that for the entire history of man on earth, every godless culture operates in the exact same structure; a dominant central leader outlaws and opposes the Unseen God and holds power through a culture full of spies and murderous violence. Eventually, the foxes in the henhouse - the elites - suppress all opposition and re-write meaning and history. Misery sets in and never leaves. The society so far ahead falls backwards into the hands of its enemies.
Every man ponders the unseen – karma, hunches, luck, superstition, belief. The wind, the sky, the stars, the bear, allah. The unseen is the “answer”. So, He is surely known by all His creation, as Romans 1:21 points out.
What lies in the Unseen? God, Who is known through Belief in His Son Jesus Christ, or . . . the unseen lies in the great unknown parts of the mind, the subconscious, the abyss. The abyss is not able to be known, by its own definition. Entering into it through stilling our minds, meditiation, or drugs, we may find our destiny or our utter destruction. It is a large bet and we know it as we enter.
So, why would His creation choose the abyss over Him? To what possible advantage? By His Own Word, He Loves Us limitlessly and we are forgiven of our sins. Heaven will free us for eternity of our dark thoughts and we will therefore be forever pure as His children, forever free and without worry.
As we were once, ever so briefly.
