Staring at the Crucifix

It removes all human history

Take some time to stare at a Crucifix intently

Stare at the Lord in His Passion

Staring at Our Lord on the Cross long enough

Destroys the meaning of all earthly history that has taken place since

Staring at Him on the Cross, I would be thinking exactly the same thing at any point over the past 2000 years, whether I am:

- Entering into the Colosseum to be persecuted

- Marching into the Holy Land to liberate it

- Sitting on the side of the road cold and lonely and desperate for attention

He is alive - on the Cross and in our temples

Staring at Our Lord in His Passion trumps the meaning of any particular time and
destroys all relativism

Nothing else in human history matters in comparison to this moment

You may enter into this moment to be with Him simply through intent contemplation

He has resurrected, so He is there to reveal

This has to be the reason the Crucifix was taken away from the churches by the heretics

THE Seminal Moment in the history of the universe

When God the Father

Proved Undeniably That He Loved Us

By Allowing His Only Son, The Word

To Leave His Side

And to Become a man

And then, as a man

To Become the Lamb

To be laid on wood

Mocked and humiliated

Sacrificed

To gather the fallen man

Scattered after the Tower of Babel

So that man could be forgiven

Since this moment, nothing else matters

Man may comprehend this meaning as he stares at the Crucifix

If he does, he is saved
